Overview
Rebuilt a multi-branch network for 5,000+ users with Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN and a redundant collapsed core replacing legacy router-based routing with an intelligent overlay and zero single points of failure.
The challenge
The existing network relied on traditional routers simply forwarding traffic over static paths. Although a DR site was in place, failover was manual and slow, there was no visibility or control over application traffic, and link failures meant dropped sessions and downtime while routes reconverged.
The approach
We deployed EdgeConnect SD-WAN appliances at every branch and both data centers, building an intelligent overlay on top of the existing circuits. The redundant collapsed core removes single points of failure at each site, while SD-WAN maintains active tunnels to both the primary and DR sites so failover is now automatic and instant instead of a manual routing change. Dynamic path selection steers traffic over the best available link in real time.
