Replace the Aruba Wireless system Across the Entire Institution Building

Upgraded the entire wireless network across the building with Aruba Mobility Master and Mobility Controllers to improve stability, coverage, and centralized management.

Replace the Aruba Wireless system Across the Entire Institution Building

Overview

This project involves replacing the existing Wireless LAN system throughout the institution’s building with an Aruba-based architecture, using Aruba Mobility Master for centralized management and Mobility Controllers to control the Access Points across the building. Main goals are to improve network performance, wireless coverage, and security to support the growing number of users and devices, while reducing the operational workload through centralized management.

The challenge

Existing wireless system was nearing end of life, with limited coverage and connection issues during periods of high user demand. Device management was also handled separately, making the system difficult to manage. Main challenge was to replace the wireless system across the entire building while keeping the impact on daily operations to a minimum.

The approach

Started with a Site Survey to plan the Access Point locations. The system was then designed with Mobility Master for centralized policy management, working with the Mobility Controllers to manage the Access Points. Installation was carried out in phases to minimize impact, with security policies, SSID/VLAN separation, and full testing completed before going live.

Results

Wireless network is now more stable and provides better coverage across the building. It can support a large number of users at the same time, with faster and easier centralized management. Network also has improved security and is ready for future expansion.
